Patient Information

At Gympie Radiology we take a patient focused approach to ensure our patients are well looked after and informed from the moment the appointment is made. The majority of reports will be available to your GP or Health Care Provider within the first few hours of you leaving Gympie Radiology.

We understand many patients may be anxious at the time of illness and we endeavour to accommodate appointments as soon as possible. Other than a plain X-ray, all other examinations require a booking. However with our Covid Policy we are asking all patients to call ahead and book for all appointments. Gympie Radiology accepts referrals from all radiology providers, so even if you have a different referral we can perform your requested examination. Please call us to arrange an appointment on 07 5489 0800, alternately complete our request an appointment form and we will call you.

Instructions will be provided to you by our receptionists when making your appointment. More information about the range of examinations is also available under services.

Radiology Connect Patient Imaging Portal

Access your images anywhere, anytime. 

We are pleased to introduce our free and secure digital portal providing easy access to your images and diagnostic reports.

With the click of a button, you now have the ability to take your images and reports with you wherever you go.

How does Radiology Connect work?
It’s simple! We’ll step you through.

1. Account Activation Process

During your appointment, reception staff will ask you for your email address to enable your account. You will then be provided with an activation code at reception. An email will be sent to the address provided so that you can activate your account

2. Logging In

Upon your first login you will be asked to enter a username, your name, and the activation code provided by the reception staff. You will be asked to set a password during the account activation process.  Be sure to make this something memorable as this will act as your password for future access to your images.

Once you have created you log in details you will be directed to the log on page https://noosa.patientportal.intelerad.com/. We suggest you save this as a bookmark on your web browser, or if using your phone save it to your home screen.

3. Viewing your Images

Your images will reach your account shortly after your appointment. We recommend you make a follow-up appointment with your referring practitioner to discuss your clinical findings. Once you have access to your current images, you can easily share your images with family or other health practitioners by viewing the desired study and selecting the ‘Share’ icon. You can also save your images by selecting the ‘Export’ icon.

4. Accessing your diagnostics report

We will send your report directly to your health practitioner as they are in the best position to interpret the results for you. Please make a follow-up appointment. We will make your report available to you via the app 30 working days after your scan.

What to Bring

Please be aware that most scans require an appointment. Please call us to arrange a time.

What to bring:

  • You will need to have a referral from your GP or specialist. This is a Medicolegal requirement. You should also be aware you can make a booking with Gympie Radiology using any radiology provider's request form.
  • Medicare card
  • Pension /concession / DVA (Department of Veteran Affairs) cards if applicable
  • WorkCover or insurance claims if applicable
  • Previous films from other clinics relating to the region being scanned

You will be asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time when making your booking. This ensures adequate time to record your correct details into our database, complete necessary consent forms and to change into a gown if required.

Parking

There is ample designated undercover and direct access outdoor car parking available for our patients, including disability parking.

Fees

Gympie Radiology has invested in the most advanced imaging equipment. Whilst many examinations are bulk billed, an out of pocket expense (gap) may apply. Our reception staff will inform you if this is the case at the time of booking.
